This is the third drum I have purchased from Yakiv. I now have 2 Sparks and one Ember. I am very happy with them, each with a unique sound, tuned to different keys. If you are not sure what you might like, Yakiv is extremely helpful, patient, and accommodating. He also posts videos of many of his drums on YouTube, which helps you decide what you prefer. The shopping experience has always been good. Yakiv provides free shipping with very accurate tracking information. Based on my experience, these drums are much more preferable to the less expensive, mass produced drums you can find. You can’t go wrong with Burning27 drums, especially with the guidance that Yakiv provides.

This is my second drum from Burning27. The first was a smaller Spark, which I am very happy with. My new Ember drum is significantly larger, and as such it clearly has a much longer beautiful sustain. All the notes are crystal clear. I opted for a black matte finish which looks very classy. Yakiv helped me select the tuning, C Golden Gate. I’m enjoying connecting with this scale, learning the relationships between all the notes. Thanks Yakiv. I’m sure I will be ordering another drum in the future.

I am absolutely thrilled with the Spark and Ember series tongue drums I've purchased. They are my first professional level drums and are far superior to all the other units I've owned. The tonal quality is crystal clear and the tuning is perfect. Moreover, the drums are pieces of art--they're beautiful. Their Ocean Steel blue is not paint, but rather the color of the carbon steel which results from the individual heat treatment each unit received. The color is further accentuated by the application of a crystal clear coating which seals and adds a layer of protection while imparting a luxurious finish. It's absolutely stunning. Only a true artist could take the same type of steel I fry fish in at home and turn it into an heirloom treasure. How do they do that?! And why can't so many of the other drum makers come even close to this level of craftsmanship? I'm in awe of the talent and musical artistry Yakiv and his team possess and shares with the world. They are truly gifted. Their customer service is also equally outstanding. Yakiv always stayed in contact throughout the time between ordering and delivery, always thoughtful, kind, and genuinely gracious. I have only one regret--not discovering Burning27 sooner. These guys are the real deal. Their small business is a musical powerhouse and I can't possibly recommend them more highly. If you don't see what you're looking for on their site, reach out and ask. I love this drum so much! It sounds beautiful all on its own, which makes it fun and easy to play music that sounds nice. It is very resonant and all the tones harmonize perfectly when you strike a note. The customer service was also very good, the shop owners kept in contact with me to let me know where in the process my order was and they were lovely to deal with. Definitely will buy more drums over time!
I ordered an Ember Tongue Drum from Burning27.com in Ukraine after doing a lot of research on tongue drums. The tone of this drum is so beautiful and mysterious. It’s intuitive to play, and it’s so well made. If you tap the wrong area the drum barely makes a sound, nothing noticeable. I love this drum! Fun and soothing to play and it sounds magical!

I ordered my drum on the 19th January and it arrived on the 18th march. I was in contact with Yavik all the way through the process from purchase to dispatch and arrival. I ordered the 12 inch spark in the golden gate scale and received much more the new design with a central petal. It's absolutely beautiful and sounds amazing, a photo or a video does not do it true justice.

Ember Pygmy Drum is very very deep and warm and joyous. She is soo fine to play, i tap on her and find to flow, improvising rhythmically is intuitive, and that for me, whitout any music education.

I ordered the drum Jan 9th, received it Feb 9th......I consider this fantastic service! The drum arrived in perfect condition and seemed to play all by itself the moment I unpacked it. I own 10 tongue drums (and a travel hand pan). The Ember Mystic has the best tone, the longest, clearest sustain, and is the easiest to play with either fingers or mallets of any of them. The harmonics never cash. The mystic scale is ideal for me…slightly minor, highly expressive, ideal for both the struggles that engage us, and the hope that keeps us going. Wonderfully crafted. My green pygmy 12" Spark drum (432 hz) arrived safe and sound. The music is what I hoped it to be. I'd give it a 6 star award if a cushioned case and stand were included, but that's for another day.

The drum arrived quickly, and I really appreciate the personal touches and great costumer service as well as guidance about the different drums available-I went with the spark Celtic minor. And of course the drum sounds beautiful!!
It is a beautiful instrument. I was hoping though that the sound would be a bit more resonant with more volume. Some of the notes when I strike them are quite faint. Also I would have liked to have played with my fingers as well, but the tongues don't respond when I try to play with my fingers. This is my first such drum. I am but a beginner. I love the Golden Gate chord. I only wish that the sound were not so faint.

I got 2 drums in 432hz D and they sounds like heaven. The videos don’t do justice on how good they really sounds. You can really feel then resonate throughout your body.I got a pygmy and hijaz scale and they sounds wonderful together.So fun to play without any experience due to the scale. you cant go wrong with whatever combination you make and if you are playing for like a hour you wil definitely come op with some interesting and soothing songs.Service is super good as well since on the website there where no option in 432hz D so i just ask and he helped me get the best one for my liking. If you are thinking about getting one or not? I can assure you it is definitely one of the best one you can get on the market!!

How to care for the Spark Tongue Drum?
Spark is made from steel and is relatively easy to care for, but it is still a musical instrument and we recommend following simple care steps:
